Florida Academic Success and Quality
The Office of Distance Learning and Student Services works with colleges and universities to develop and offer high quality professional development programs for faculty, instructional designers and other education professionals.
Florida QM Initiative (FLQMI)
The Florida Quality Matters Initiative (FLQMI) provides faculty and staff from participating institutions information and resources to promote quality course design and to build collaborative relationships and shared expertise through statewide collaboration. The primary goal is to improve the quality of courses and learning experiences for students in online and blended courses.
Instructional Designer Network (IDN)
The FLVC-IDN is a statewide professional development network for the Florida instructional/learning designers, instructional/learning technologists, and educators. Through the network and community, the IDN sponsors professional development events and creates collaborative opportunities to help instructional design and technology professionals to:
- Share research and best practices;
- Gain the knowledge and skills to support faculty;
- support student success in Florida.
The Teaching Online Preparation Toolkit (TOPkit) is a comprehensive, openly-licensed resource that empowers those who prepare faculty to teach online/hybrid course offerings and who manage faculty development programs. Although TOPkit is Florida-funded, it has an international reach.
